Course Information TESOL (Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages) is a rapidly growing international industry with a high global demand for English teachers with good qualifications. TESOL graduates will have acquired the necessary knowledge, attitudes and skills to serve effectively as English Speaking Language teachers, trainers and tutors.
The Certificate IV in TESOL is a government-accredited course and part of the Australian Qualifications Framework and like all Vocational Education Training (VET) programs, it takes a competency-based approach to training, which ensures that it is clearly focused on skills, knowledge and attributes necessary for teaching English internationally.
Course Content - Teach students from a diverse language, culture and education backgrounds. - Analyse language. - Teach speaking, listening, reading, writing, English grammar, spelling and pronunciation. - Plan and organise group based delivery. - Assess competence. - Develop assessment tools. - Develop resource files.
Entry Requirements Current Students: Successful completion of 4 weeks at Viva College's Upper-Intermediate Level. Future Students: Successful completion of the Upper-Intermediate Level Placement Test conducted on Wednesdays at 3.00pm and will need to have an IELTS Score of 5.5 (or equivalent).
