Intensive General English

  • Six levels of General English: Beginner, Elementary, Pre-Intermediate, Intermediate, Upper-Intermediate, Advanced.
  • Classes start every Monday.
  • Intensive program (25 hours a week).
  • Courses develop skills in reading, speaking, writing, listening, grammar and pronunciation, plus electives in the afternoon.
  • Electives will allow you to design your own course and improve your areas of weakness.
  • Electives include Viva Talk, Pronunciation, Academic English, General Skills, Conversation at Viva, Film & TV, Grammar Doctor, Explore Brisbane

    Course Length:

    Each level runs for approximately 12 weeks.

    • Entry Requirements:

    No previous English studies required.

    There will be a Level Placement Test conducted on the first day during Orientation.

    Read about tips for travellers
    Listen to a person talking about social customs in his own country
    Introduce your country to a visitor

    CALL:
    Complete a webquest researching social customs in another country

    Speaking:
    Deliver an oral presentation to classmates based on social customs webquest
