Transport
The Translink system in Brisbane incorporates buses, trains and ferries. Most buses arrive in the City to the Queen Street Mall's underground station, which is right underneath Viva College.
The closest train station is on Edward Street which is only a 2 minutes walk away. Ferry access is also very close to the College.
The cheapest way to get around is to buy a weekly or monthly ticket for your zone, which you will be able to use on the bus, train and ferry.
Bicycle
Brisbane is a cyclists' paradise. It has over 760 kilometres of cycling network (approximately 412km off-road and 348km on-road), connecting every suburb to the city centre.
Cycling is very popular in Brisbane and provides an excellent option to travel to Viva College while keeping fit.
There is secure bike parking at various locations in the city and as part of a Brisbane City Council and Queensland Transport initiative.
A major cycle centre is currently being built right here in the city to provide secure parking, lockers and shower/change facilities for cyclists and pedestrians.
Airports
Both the Brisbane International and Brisbane Domestic Airports are located 20 minutes from Brisbane City. There is a train to the city which will cost around $10 that is very convenient.
On your arrival or departure you can also arrange a transfer or limousine service through Viva College.
Visitors’ Information
The Visitors’ Information Centre in the centre of the Queen Street Mall has extensive information about everything in Brisbane. They also have a very useful free ‘Visitors’ Guide’.
