Nightlife/Pubs
There are many places to eat, drink, relax and enjoy yourself in Brisbane. The most popular area for nightlife is the city area around Queen Street Mall and Fortitude Valley.
Most places are open to 5am. You must be over 18 to drink alcohol in Australia and to enter bars and pubs. Remember to bring your passport as proof of age.

City: Down Under Bar, Fridays, Exchange, Tin Billy, Union Jacks, Beach House and the Victory.
Fortitude Valley: The Family, Alhambra Lounge, Birdee Num Num, Elephant & Wheelbarrow, RJ's, Bar 388, The GPO, Fringe Bar, Mustang and The Monastery.
Shopping
The most popular shopping area in Brisbane is the Queen Street Mall right outside Viva College. The Queen Street Mall has over 650 stores and hosts some of the world's most exclusive retail stores. Fortitude Valley is also well known for its unique designer stores.
There are also many weekend markets not too far from Viva College at Southbank, Riverside and Fortitude Valley. Most suburbs also have a large shopping centre, which is usually open 7 days a week.
